Watercolor

In 2008 I challenged myself with watercolor.  As an oil painter for many years I had no idea how to paint with this medium.  I began to paint local scenes and some portraits of friends and found the medium different than I had expected.  I  didn't realize that I could go back into a watercolor once started or dry.  I discovered more about the luminosity of this medium and learnd patience as layers dried!  In 2009 I attempted working on Yupo, which has a polypropylene finish.  With trepidation, I tried it and came to love it quckly; applying the first brush load of wet paint onto the surface, and watching as it seems to take on a "life of it's own"!
