"Prolific artist Holly Aloha Jaynes collects found materials such as rust on which she paints. One is of the Goddess, Kali MA, a warrior- protector. Jaynes was moved to create art on a slab of rust the day after September 11, 2001 terrorist attack. "It's about rising from the flames of destruction and taking our courage back and finding peace, strength and love from chaos and fear".

Goddess Creations are my hand-painted t-shirts, dolls, altar stonesa stone placed on an altar which embodies the spirit of a Goddess, animal, place or totem and may also be decorated, drawings, greeting cards and meditation tables celebrating the GoddessFemale deities, a cosmic Mother figure, earth mother, creator goddesses, fertility goddess, symbols of ethnic untiy, nature, fate, eternity, truth, wisdom, justice, love, birth, death and transformation. The Goddess has many names, and many manifistations throughout history. The earliest evidence and documentaion began in the upper Paleolitic (ca. 35,000-9000 B.C.E.) (Ice age). The Goddess is once again becoming a symbol of empowerment for women' s spirituality that is earth-centered, a metaphor for the earth as a living organisim, an inspiration for artists, a new political movement, a model for resacralizing women's body and the mystery of sexuality. In reclaiming the Goddess, our full human history as women and men we can learn other patterns, redress the imbalance between the human species and our natural environment, between men and women, and explore the possinbiltity of living in harmony and justice with all with all things. in all her varied aspects.

Croning RitualA time when women of all ages gather to celebrate one or more women of age 56 or older, in becoming "croned". Women who aren't crones may have a pre-crone ritual in which they speak of the new crone and make a gift which she will present to the new crone in the riitual. The ritual is usually performed by crones and the ancients, those women over 80 years of age, who are seated in places of honor.
